Option 1: Direct Traffic to Nodes#
This is the default operating mode.
Disadvantages:
- Your domains will be on a single IP address, making them discoverable through spy services
- Attackers can launch attacks (although the backend remains protected)
Option 2: Through CloudFlare#
Disadvantages:
- Cloudflare may cause unforeseen complications
Advantages:
- Domains receive CloudFlare’s cloud-level protection
- Automatic CDN
- Attacks are directed at the node, not at the backend infrastructure
